The Inviting Garden

On Saturday afternoon Halle and I began our afternoon walk at the home of a friend who has a most creative and lovely garden.
She permitted me to take a few pictures to share with you.  Those are hazelnut shells in the walkways
There are many areas to enjoy in this peaceful outdoor space

I just love this metal lamb created by talented local artist Cindy Shake.  Click HERE to see her work.  So creative.  After the garden tour we took our walk and I captured the following scenes along the way.  Enjoy, and Happy Sunday!

Mac Daddy and 1 Great Ma

Our covered deck is located on the right side of the house.  Mr. O and I could have had a larger deck constructed but we decided that was not a good value... much of the year is cold and snowy.  So a small deck is just right weather-wise for the amount of time we can spend on the deck.
We enjoy the privacy!
All the furniture and accessories fit in our downstairs family room in the Fall
At Costco on Friday.  I happened to be parked next to these two... click to enlarge..

 The Mac Daddy and
One Great Ma!!!!   PS I was almost "busted" by the Great Ma!  She was getting hanging plants at Costco and was about to load up.....  I must say Costco had an incredible selection of plants!

I must also say it was Friday afternoon!  Many (too many) shoppers at Costco.... with kids and visitors.... many loading up for the weekend out of Anchorage.  But I got what I needed and left!

Escape Artists!

The handsome deck workers were on hand early on Wednesday morning to finish up the work on the pergola cover ...(...sorry, I did not get their pictures)
Because the yard gate was unlocked for the workers I closed up the doggie door so Toby and Ginger could not get out of the house.  Or so I thought.

I was dropping off Halle and Jeter at Dog Tired Doggie Day Care when I got this text from my next door neighbor....
When my neighbor opened her door and called them, they ran off!!!!
I drove back home from Dog Tired in a hurry, all the while my heart was in my throat with worry
I bet Toby got that cover off.  It is not easy to get off so this was very surprising.  But a lesson!  These covers are not tamper proof!
Ginger:  Yes, Toby and I spent the rest of the day in kennels, boo hoo!!!  We could not spend the day staring at the handsome deck guys who did a wonderful job!  Now if only the sun would come out!
